Valthorne: The Echo-Thief

Name: Liska Vall, also called “Shardhand”
Role: Grief Thief of the Spiral Mouth
Faction: Dissonant (Unofficial, rumored Lost)
Stats: Body 1, Mind 1, Charm 1
Special Ability: Crowdspeaker — +1 to Charm when addressing or swaying a square
WAND: A broken shard of mirrorglass, wrapped in thread; hums with grief
Resonance Note: Liska can draw a single forgotten sorrow from a crowd and hold it in her shard—but doing so means she must carry that grief until someone else speaks it aloud in truth.
Backstory: No one knows where Liska came from, only that her WAND hums the exact pitch of the Spiral Mouth’s deepest echo. She moves between districts like a rumor, whispering forgotten names, restoring echoes that the Law has smoothed too flat. Some claim she can steal guilt itself; others believe she is a walking verdict still undecided.
Ritual Tells: Before she speaks, she always cuts a thin line in the air with her shard—“splitting the Flow,” she calls it. Those who’ve seen it say it leaves a temporary stillness behind, like a silence that remembers what it once was.
